History
Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA) has been a pioneer in Indian badminton since its inception in October 1994. Founded by Prakash Padukone, Vimal Kumar, and Vivek Kumar, PPBA has become synonymous with world-class training and producing international champions. Recognised as a National Centre of Excellence, the academy focuses on nurturing talent with world-class coaching and facilities.

Prakash Padukone, a legend in Indian badminton and the first Indian to win the All England Championship in 1980, aims to develop an ecosystem through PPBA that nurtures excellence in sports and life.

He is a three-time Karnataka State Badminton Champion who had a clear vision for the future of badminton in India and played a key role in bringing it to life through the world-class facilities at PDCSE and PPBA.
